Scary Party Themes

Choosing a theme for a scary party allows guests to pick their scary costumes accordingly. If the theme is just a general scary theme, guests can choose from any number of scary costume ideas, including vampires, witches, and monsters. However, narrowing the theme can allow for more creativity, as well as some original costume ideas.

Some scary party themes would be:

• Just Dying to Get Here party, where everyone dresses as someone that is post-mortem. Scary costume ideas include dead bride and groom, mummies, skeletons and more. Kids usually enjoy this theme, and younger children can dress as ghosts as well.
• Scary Movie party, where each guest dresses as their favorite scary movie character. This can be anyone from Freddy Krueger to the vampire Lestat.
• Holy H-E-L-L party, where guests dress in scary costumes from the afterlife or beyond. This costume theme can include angels, Devils, demons, the angel of death, and more.
• Mad Scientist party, with guests dressing as monsters like Frankenstein, scientists, bloody assistants, caregivers and unwilling subjects. This is a good party theme for teens as well as adults.
• Witches and Warlocks party allows for the all-time favorite scary costumes, with women dressing as witches, and men can dress as warlocks, sorcerers, and wizards. Kids can really enjoy this theme as well, with twinkle witch and Renaissance witch costumes for girls.
